One time Provost of the then Rivers State College of Education, now Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Prof. Godwin Tasie on Wednesday 17th July 2013 led a team to pay a courtesy visit to Professor Rosemund Dienye Green-Osahogulu to congratulate her on her confirmation as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education by the Executive Governor of Rivers State.

Professor Tasie who presented a congratulatory card to the Vice-Chancellor advised her to keep the flag flaying.

He expressed delight that her managerial team is made up of people with wealth of experience to impact on the university and urged them to use dialogue as a means of solving whatever problem that may arise.

Professor Tasie pointed out that as a stakeholder in IAUE he was ready to give whatever assistance is needed whenever he is called upon to do so and wished her well as she pilots the affairs of the young institution.

Responding Professor Rosemund Dienye Green-Osahogulu thanked him for the visit, she recounted how Professor Tasie nurtured and mentored her academically as a young graduate and said it is thanks to his encouragement and support that she is now a Professor.

The Vice-Chancellor who said she owes a lot of her success story to him and others promised to leave no time unturned in ensuring that the quality of lecturers found in IAUE are such that people will be proud of anywhere.
